Category: Press Releases       Posted By: Denise Gallagher       Year: 2017

The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) has no regulatory authority over power companies providing services in Citrus County. The Florida Public Services Commission (PSC) regulates power companies in Florida.

Trees and limbs in proximity to power lines are the jurisdiction of the power company, and the power company makes decisions regarding the cutting/trimming of trees and limbs. Questions on tree cutting and trimming should be addressed to your power provider. The contact numbers for power providers in Citrus County are as follows:

Duke Energy: 1-800-700-8744

SECO Energy: 352-726-3944
