  • Periodic night lane closures on northbound US 19 in Homosassa Springs

Periodic lane closures may take place on northbound US 19 from W. Green Acres Street to S. Jump Court between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday (September 25 - 28) nights. Be alert to possible lane shifts. Motorists are asked to use caution while in the area.

  • Aquaduct Street reopened at US 19 in Homosassa Springs

W. Aquaduct Street was reopened Friday morning, September 22 between US 19 and S. Pittsburgh Avenue. It had been closed last week for underground utility installation work.

Citrus County Parks and Recreation Concerts Schedule

Citrus County Parks and Recreation is happy to announce an exciting lineup for their 2017/2018 Concert series! Tickets and season passes will go on sale Monday, Oct 2 at the Parks Administration office, 2804 W Marc Knighton Ct., Lecanto. All concerts will be performed at the Citrus Springs Community Center, which is located at 1570 W Citrus Springs Blvd, Citrus Springs.

This year’s concert series starts Saturday, November 4 with a crowd favorite. Billy Lindsey will do his award winning tribute to ELVIS. Billy is truly the king when Rockin’ to all of your favorite Elvis tunes! Tickets for this show are $10.00

Friday, December 1, Parks and Recreation will present their annual Christmas Show with Shawn Scheller and The Contenders, performing holiday songs from many famous entertainers. The hall will be decorated to brighten your spirits and get the holidays started. Tickets for this show are $10.00

Sunday, December 31, we will be ready to kick it up and welcome in the New Year! Join the Parks and Recreation division with all of your friends to eat and dance away the old and ring in the new with live music by Nostalgia with Sweet Potatoes catering the meal. Tickets for this party are $35 with meal or $10 with NO meal.

Saturday, January 27, 2018, be prepared to be amazed as we present David and Jenny Illusions. David Ferman was highlighted on Americas Got Talent and will present 70 minutes of world class stage illusions, hilarious comedy and audience participation for this show. Tickets for this show are $13.00.

Friday, March 23, 2018, get ready to sing along with Almost AHBA as they perform the hits we know so well. Dance the night away with Dancing Queen, be amazed with the Super Troopers and Take A Chance on Me by attending this awesome show. Tickets for this show are $13.00

Friday, May 18, 2018, will be a blast from the past as Stayin’ Alive recreates The Bee Gees songs you love so well. Close your eyes and The Bee Gees are there in the theater. The band and their show bring back an unforgettable era of great music! If you’re looking for a concert that will take you back in time this is it! Tickets for this show are $13.00

Saturday, July 28, 2018, - The Mark Anthony Band along with The Dark Lady – CHER and Edge of GaGa – Lady GaGa Show. The Mark Anthony Band is by far the most versatile band in Florida and the Southeast for years, with a massive song list of music from 5 decades and current top 40 hits! Tickets for this show are $15.00

Friday, September 28, 2018, welcome back the fantastic Atlantic City Boys! These guys ripped the house down last year with a capacity crowd. The Atlantic City Boys are four dynamic lead singers who have wowed audiences at Las Vegas, Walt Disney World, and of course, Atlantic City!  Now they lend their world class vocals to the rock-n-roll harmonies of the 60’s singing the hits of The Drifters, The Beach Boys, and of course, Franki Valli and the Four Seasons.  Tickets for this show are $13.00.

Tickets and Season passes will be on sale at the Parks and Recreation Administration office at 2804 W. Marc Knighton Ct., Lecanto. Season Passes are $87.00 each and include up front seating. Passes do not include New Year’s Eve.

Citrus County Transit will provide rides to the libraries listed to assist those who are in need of transportation in order to register for disaster assistance.  Contact Citrus County Transit at 352-527-7630.

The library locations are in addition to the Sheriff’s Office locations where citizens may register for disaster assistance: Operations, Emergency Operations, and the Crystal River Substation.     You may also register from the comfort of your very own home if you choose to do so at www.disasterassistance.gov.

Three County Boat Launches Closed on the Withlacoochee River

Due to the Withlacoochee River rising, the following boat launches are closed until further notice:

A Flood Warning continues for the Withlacoochee River at Holder until further notice.  Additional rises are possible thereafter.  The County will reopen the boat ramps as soon as the river is at a safe level. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Two Sandbag Sites Open

Due to the Withlacoochee River rising two Citrus County sandbagging sites have been opened from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, through September 27. Additional times and dates will be announced as needed.
