BOCC Proclaims July 16-22 as Pretrial, Probation and Parole Week in Citrus County

The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners presented a Proclamation at their regular meeting on July 11, 2017 proclaiming July 16-22 as Pretrial, Probation and Parole in Citrus County.
Community corrections is an essential part of the justice system. Community corrections professionals uphold the law with dignity, while recognizing the right of the public to be safe-guarded from criminal activity. Community corrections professionals are responsible for supervising adult and juvenile offenders in the community. These professionals provide services, support and protection for victims and advocate community and restorative justice.
The Board of County Commissioners proclaims July 16-22, 2017 as “Pretrial, Probation and Parole Week” and encourages all citizens to honor these community corrections professionals and to recognize their achievements.
