Category: Press Releases       Posted By: Denise Gallagher       Year: 2016

Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Florida Department of Emergency Management, and the Citrus County Building Division will be doing a street-by-street and house-by-house Joint Preliminary Damage Assessment of the storm damage from Hurricane Hermine on Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11.  If you live in an affected area do not be alarmed if you see, or are visited by, the assessment team in the next few days.  The assessment team will be stopping to speak to property owners and tenants about their flood damage and with permission will carry out a detailed assessment of property storm damage. Be assured that the team is working to bring in aid and assistance as soon as possible and appreciates citizens’ cooperation and assistance with this important step in Hurricane Hermine recovery efforts.
