Detour Announcement for E. River Road, Hernando

Citrus County Road Maintenance Division will be closing E. River Road in Hernando between E. Squaw Court and N. Warrior Terrace for necessary roadwork on Tuesday, April 16, 2019. A Variable Message Board is in place to inform the public of the road closure. The detour will be marked and direct vehicles to E. Turkey Trail Drive, then E. Forest Trail Drive and back to E. River Road on the north side of the closure. We anticipate repairs will be completed in one day.

Veterans Service Office Closed on April 15 for Training

The Citrus County Veterans Service Office has announced the office at 2804 W. Marc Knighton Court, Lecanto, FL  34461 will be closed from Monday, April 15, 2019 for staff training.  Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday April 16, 2019. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Citrus County Government offices will be closed Friday, April 19

Citrus County Government offices will be closed Friday, April 19, in observance of Good Friday and Easter.

The Citrus County Central Landfill will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 19. There will be No Hazardous Waste Drop-offs on Good Friday. The administration office will be closed all day. Normal hours will resume on Saturday, April 20.
