Crossroad movements and left turns to be closed at night at two US 19 intersections

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has advised driving across US 19 on Grover Cleveland Boulevard/Halls River Road and Homosassa Trail will not be permitted during reconstruction and paving operations in the median several nights for approximately two weeks beginning the evening of April 17, 2019. Left turns through these intersections will also not be available during these overnight operations, which will occur between 8pm and 7am as follows:

Wednesday and Thursday (April 17 and 18) nights -- Grover Cleveland Blvd./Halls River Road;

Sunday and Monday (April 21 and 22) nights -- Homosassa Trail.

Traffic will be detoured using other crossroads and north-south roads, mainly to the east of US 19. Through-traffic will be maintained on US 19, but may be reduced to a single lane in each direction. Motorists are advised to stay alert and use caution while in the construction area.

Seeking applications for seat on the Citrus Springs Advisory Board

The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications for the Citrus Springs Advisory Board.  This Advisory Board is seeking two qualified regular members to complete two-year terms that will expire on January 31, 2020.

Eligible applicants must reside full time and own property within the boundaries of the Citrus Springs Municipal Service Benefit Unit as approved by the Board of County Commissioners.

The Citrus Springs Advisory Board meets the first Wednesday of every month at 9:00am at the Citrus Springs Community Building, located at 1570 W. Citrus Springs Blvd in Citrus Springs. The purpose of this board is to provide facilities, street lighting, beautification and other essential facilities and municipal services for the Citrus Springs area.
