Road Closure on W Riverwood Dr in Crystal Manor November 13

The road closure on W Riverwood Dr in Crystal Manor has been re-scheduled. W Riverwood Dr will be closed for repairs on Wednesday, November 13 beginning at 6:00am and scheduled to end by 7:00pm.

A detour will direct motorists from W Riverwood Dr to W Cockscomb Dr, south on N Daylily Terrace to W Acacia Dr, and then back to W Riverwood Dr.

Motorists are advised to use caution while in the area. If you have any questions, you may reach the Road Maintenance Office at 527-7610.

Relocation and Consolidation of Fairground and Animal Services Recycling Locations

Citrus County Solid Waste has relocated and consolidated recycling bins at the Citrus County Fairgrounds and Animal Services.

The Citrus County Fair Association Board has requested a relocation of the four recycle containers located at 3600 S. Florida Ave, Inverness due to upgrades at fairground main gate entrance.

The recycling containers located at Citrus County Animal Services Shelter, 4030 S. Airport Road, Inverness will also be moved to the new location.

The recycling bins new location will be the north corner of the fairgrounds parking lot adjacent to US Highway 41 and Airport Road, Inverness.

Fort Island Gulf Beach Closed until further Notice – Boat Ramp Remains Open

Due to water testing results in the past week, in an abundance of caution, Citrus County Parks and Recreation has announced Fort Island Gulf Beach will be closed until further notice. The Fort Island Gulf Beach Boat Ramp will remain open to the public.  Signage has been posted at the beach
