Citrus County Courthouse Annex Parking lot gets new driveway

Category: Press Releases       Posted By: Denise Gallagher       Year: 2020

Citrus County Public Works is beginning parking and access improvements to the Citrus County Courthouse Annex (Stovall Building) property in downtown Inverness.  Currently Road Maintenance is doing the prep work for a new driveway, which will enhance traffic and pedestrian safety. The Courthouse Annex currently houses the Citrus County Tax Collector and Citrus County property Appraiser.

The new driveway is currently scheduled to be paved over the Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend, at the same time as the courthouse parking lot next to the Sheriff’s Office. Once paving is completed the landscape islands will be constructed and the old driveway will be removed. The new configuration will add two new parking places and an identified pedestrian crosswalk.

Please note the existing driveway will not be closed until the new driveway is open for traffic.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to use caution will in the construction area. For more information phone 352-527-5477.
