ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION:   AR: 2.02-3 DATE APPROVED: June 24, 2014
SUBJECT: Acting County Administrator ORIGINATING DEPARTMENT: County Administrator

POLICY:

  1. By letter, filed with the Commission, the County Administrator shall designate an Assistant County Administrator to exercise the powers and perform the duties of County Administrator during any temporary absence or disability. In those instances when both the County Administrator and the Assistant County Administrator are absent or unable to serve, a qualified member of the Senior Staff may be appointed. During such absence or disability, the Commission may modify such designation at any time and appoint other qualified officer or employee of the County to serve until the County Administrator shall return or the disability has ceased.
  2. A record of the designee(s) approved pursuant to the foregoing provisions will be filed with the Clerk’s Office.
