Diana Finegan

County Commission District 2

DFinnegan-V3-webCommissioner Diana Finegan began her term with the Board of County Commission on November 22, 2022.

Growing up in a Floral City trailer with little more than valuable life lessons, Diana Finegan learned to trust God, pinch pennies, work hard, and help others.  After she graduated early from New Testament Christian School, Diana was a teenager on a mission.  She enrolled at Central Florida College and became the first in her family to attend college.  Just a few years later she was the youngest person in the state to serve as executive director of a domestic violence center.

At the Citrus County Abuse Shelter Association, Inc. (CASA), Diana Finegan helped thousands of people, worked with local judges and law enforcement, developed a Healthy Relationship program for local schools and spearheaded a successful campaign for a new shelter and outreach facility. After retiring from CASA in 2017, Diana worked alongside her husband, Steve, at their businesses, Air FX, Inc. and Electrix, Inc.  Diana and Steve currently live in Homosassa and enjoy being active on the water and in the community.

As a commissioner, Diana believes in managing the growth of Citrus County, protecting our natural resources, and using tax dollars as efficiently as possible.
