Citrus County Board of County Commissioners

 The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners’ invites you to attend the Citrus County Citizens Academy, which is a FREE 13 week sessions (one day a week on Thursday).  All sessions will be held from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, unless otherwise noted.  This course is designed to educate citizens about the departments that implement the policy of the County Commissioners’ and to give the residents a hands-on, inside look at what, how and why the county’s departments do what they do. 

There is a graduation at the end of the course, which will be held at the Historical Courthouse.

Note:  Policy of absences – This training is cumulative in nature so applicants are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions.  An applicant that misses a session will be afforded an opportunity to make up a missed session in a future class session.
