Gainesville

Citrus County Transit (CCT) provides transportation for Citrus County Veterans to the Veterans Hospital in Gainesville. Effective Jan 01, 2023, this service is offered every Wednesday with the exception of holidays. This service is funded primarily through Grants and the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners and are provided free unless otherwise stipulated.
TRIPS WILL BE MADE ON THE FOLLOWING DATES

February 1, 8, 15, 22                                   August 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29                                  September 6, 13, 20, 27

April 5, 12, 19, 26                                        October 4, 11, 18, 25

May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31                                          November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

June 7, 14, 21, 28                                     December 6, 13, 20, 27
RESERVATIONS: Reservations are required no later than 12:00 P.M. (noon) two business days in advance. All reservations must be made by calling the Citrus County Transit Office at (352) 527-7630. Veterans need to have their appointments scheduled for Wednesdays.  This bus service is only available for the dates listed.  Appointments should NOT be scheduled before 9:00 AM.
WHEELCHAIR: services are available. It is important to make any reservations requiring wheelchair transportation as early as possible due to limitations on seating capacity.
NON-VETERAN TRANSPORTATION: Non-Veterans of Citrus County may travel to the Gainesville VA Hospital with Veterans as seating capacity permits: Veterans have priority.  There is a fee of $10.00 for this service (this fee in not applicable to persons traveling as escorts of Veterans). 
DEPARTURE FROM GAINESVILLE:  All passengers must be ready to leave Gainesville no later than 2:00 P.M. We suggest you don’t have an appointment later than 1:00 P.M.  It is the passenger's responsibility to be aware of the departure time as well. The bus cannot wait for late arrivals. If all scheduled passengers are finished before the 2:00 P.M. departure time, the bus will leave as soon as all passengers are ready.
