2035 Long Range Transportation Plan

In 2010, the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners conducted an update of the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) for the forecast year of 2035. The LRTP represented the 20-year vision for Citrus County’s transportation system. The LRTP considered all principal modes of transportation as an integrated system including highways, public transportation, bikeways and pedestrian facilities.

Public Outreach

The project included public involvement activities that were conducted throughout development of the Citrus County 2035 LRTP and specific strategies to address each of the three phases of the plan development process:

  • Phase I - Regional Visioning
  • Phase II - Technical, Practical, and Feasible Corridors
  • Phase III - Implementation Actions
