Nonprofit Grant Program

The Citrus County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will award grants to 501(C)(3) nonprofit organizations to assist Citrus County citizens adversely affected due to COVID-19. The Citrus County Nonprofit Grant Program will provide a grant for food distribution, or/and health care expenses to eligible 501(C)(3) organizations. The Nonprofit Grant Program requires an electronic application to be submitted by February 1st 2021 8:00 a.m. to February 26, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. and provide a formal presentation to the BOCC on March 16, 2021. 

Grant applicants must demonstrate that the services and/or goods will be provided to Citrus County citizens. Grant funds must be expended within six months from receipt of the grant award. The Nonprofit Grant Program is specifically for 501(C) (3) organizations excluding member groups. The Citrus County Nonprofit Grants Program currently has $300,000 in available funds.

Application Process

The Citrus County Nonprofit Grant Program has $300,000 available to award. Funds will be based on the
BOCC’s determination. Please submit your application online in its entirety. The County may
determine further information is necessary to process a grant request and will contact the applicant by
email for additional documentation. It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide this information as
requested. Incomplete applications will not be considered; please submit the application in its entirety. 

Applications will be submitted using a digital online portal. Applicants will be required to sign the
application and attest, under penalty of perjury, that all information submitted is truthful. The
