Fish Haven

Funding for the development of these reefs is derived from both County tax dollars and State grants. Grant funding is awarded on a competitive basis with emphasis given to reef sites that are frequently utilized.

Deployment
This project was completed at NO cost to the County. The materials came from Cedar Key, Florida. The funding was through FEMA and Lucas Marine Construction was the contractor utilizing a 150' x 55' barge.
Materials:
- 213 Tons of material were deployed
- 40 pieces of 12" x 12" x 35' concrete pilings
- 20 pieces of 3' x 30' x 6" concrete slabs
- 10 pieces of 2' x 2' x 12' concrete blocks
- 2 pieces of 15" diameter x 35' steel pipe
