Citrus County Tourist Development Council Grant Cycle Begins January 3, 2022
The Citrus County Tourist Development Council’s (TDC) grant cycle will open for applications on Monday, January 3, 2022. There will be two types of grants available: Collateral Materials and Special Projects/Events.
The purpose of the TDC’s Collateral Materials Grant is to assist organizations in Citrus County by providing grant money to make our area more appealing to visitors who are spending the night in Citrus County. This grant leverages the TDC’s resources and extends marketing for Citrus County.
The Special Project/Event Marketing Grant is intended to provide funding to advertise and promote events to out-of-county markets to attract overnight visitors. The grant funds are meant to supplement the grantee’s budget and are restricted in their use for marketing, advertisement, and promotional materials.
Applicants can apply to receive a maximum of $1,500 for collateral materials and from a minimum of $750 to a maximum of $7,500 for special project/events. All grants require a dollar-for-dollar cash match, with the exception of the $750 award for special projects/events.
Grant applications must be completed and returned in person to the Citrus County Visitors Bureau (located at 915 N Suncoast Blvd, Crystal River, FL 34429) or via email to terry.natwick@discovercrystalriverfl.com no later than 5:00pm on Friday, January 28, 2022. Late applications will not be accepted. Presentations by the applicants seeking funds will be required at the TDC meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, for grant selection and budget allocation.
