Citrus County Citizens' Academy Spring 2024 Session Begins
The Citrus County Citizens’ Academy began its Spring 2024 Class February 1, 2024. County Administrator Steve Howard welcomed the new class with a presentation focusing on both the role of county governments in general and an up-to-date status report on Citrus County.
Citrus County Citizens’ Academy is a free, interactive program that focuses on educating citizens about the County’s governmental operations. It is designed to educate citizens about the departments that implement the policy of the commission and to give residents a hands-on, inside look at what, how and why the county's departments do what they do. Elected officials, department directors and other county staff will host unique and informative sessions designed to give citizens hands-on experience in county government operations.
The Citrus County Citizens’ Academy Fall 2024 Class will begin Thursday, September 5, 2024. Please contact Leyda Rivera at (352) 341-6560 for more information.
NOTE: Registration will remain open through August 15, 2024 or until it reaches capacity. If the class is full, interested citizens are encouraged to apply to have their name placed on a waiting list in case of a cancellation or as a place holder for the next session.
