Informational Signs Replaced Within Tsala Apopka Lake - Floral City Pool

In partnership with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Citrus County Aquatic Services was able to replace all Informational Signage within the Floral City Pool of Tsala Apopka Lake.      The project consisted of replacing two (2) complete pilings, and a total of thirty (30) Idle Speed No Wake / Resume Normal

Operation Signs along with three (3) Danger Rock Signs.  The County used their Contractor along with Field Staff to complete the project.  The County sought funding through the FBIP in 2023 to replace signs which had exceeded their normal life expectancy.  This project allows for more visible and safer signage for boating activities.

The entire project took approximately six (6) weeks from start to completion and came in under budget.  Funds were awarded through the Florida Boating Improvement Program (FBIP), not to exceed $60,473.00.    The County’s portion was $3,536.65, with FWC funding $53,140.25 of the project’s total cost.
