The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum Reopens

Citrus County is pleased to announce the reopening of the Historic Citrus County Courthouse, the Old Courthouse Heritage Museum, and the Citrus County Archives at 1 Courthouse Square, Inverness on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, by appointment.

The museum will be scheduling tours at 10:00, 11:00, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00, Monday – Friday, with special senior tours at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Family tours will be 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m. There will be signage throughout the Museum encouraging social distancing, and CDC recommendations.

The Museum will continue to provide educational programming and make content available through its Facebook and other social media platforms, at www.cccourthouse.org and on Facebook at The Old Courthouse Heritage Museum.

The CDC, as a reminder, encourages reducing the spread of respiratory illnesses by practicing everyday preventative actions, including:
•             Stay at least 6 feet away from others (“social distancing”) when in public
•             If you are sick or were recently exposed to COVID-19 STAY HOME
•             Groups of less than 10 people – ALWAYS avoid congregating The County is committed to the well-being of our citizens and asks everyone to do their part in getting the facts before sharing information.
