Citrus County Transit is committed to providing safe, secure, clean, and reliable transportation services to all residents and visitors.


Transit Building

Background:
Citrus County Transit operates 30 buses with an average of 6,872 trips a month. The transit system has been in operation since 1978 under the County's Department of Community Services.

The Citrus County Transit Bus provides door to door transit service throughout Citrus County as a demand-response para transit bus system. CCT operates on preset schedules and reservations.

The system picks up riders anywhere within the county's 773 square-mile area and transports them to their planned destinations.

PUBLIC NOTICE
PERFORMANCE MEASURES FOR CITRUS COUNTY TRANSIT
In accordance with Section 341.041(3) and Section 341.071, Florida Statutes, each
public transit provider shall publish the productivity and performance measures established
for the past years. Below are the annual measures for report years 2021 and 2022 which are
based upon National Transit Database (NTD) reports. The Federal Transit Administration
(FTA), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and Citrus County Board of County
Commissioners (BOCC) jointly fund the County’s mass transit system.
